YOLO was founded in 2014 on a kitchen table in North Yorkshire, with nothing but £2000 and a vision to build a retail empire and world leading work environment. Following a serious car accident, our founder was given the motivation to build a company that people loved coming to work for and offered them unparalleled work experiences.

We are so proud of our brands, many of which have become huge successes and were born out of ideas within the YOLO team. We are on a mission to build a retail empire and try to launch a new business every year. Our brands currently operate in the following sectors.

Amazonas Hammocks UK

Founded in 1992 by Matthias Saul, Amazonas Hammocks began with an idea to solve an issue whilst Matthias was travelling. On these adventures, Matthias, struggled with the weight of all the equipment needed so began, Amazonas. His vision was born and resulted in the hammocks you see today. Space saving, light and comfortable. With headquarter based in Munich Germany, we're the UK front.

Amazonas Ultralight UK

Amazonas Ultralight UK is Europe's biggest hammock retailer and manufacturer, who produce the award-winning range known as 'Amazonas Ultralight' curated specifically for adventurers & explorers. If you like hammock portability then look at the UltraLight range, weighing less than a loaf of bread and offering amazing flexibility, strength and comfort.

BRUU Tea

BRUU was the UK's first subscription tea club and is the only club in the world offering tea drinkers a personalised box of tea every month, thanks to their clever tea engine which matches teas with taste profiles. Their award winning gourmet tea is delivered through members letter boxes every month and is also available across multiple retail outlets. BRUU also offers a range of gifting ideas, from Bubble Tea Kits to Wedding Favours.

Simply Hammocks

Simply Hammocks is Europe's biggest hammock retailer and sells an award winning range of hammocks which are of the highest quality. All their hammocks come with GS, TUV and FSC marking and they have built a reputation for being the experts in the industry, offering a 5 star service to customers. Eye Lounge

With over 33,000 customers, and counting, Eye Lounge offers a full range of industry leading eyecare products aimed at customers who want to have a healthier vision. YOLO acquired the business in 2020 and revamped the website, offering their loyal customers a way to subsribe and save.

Scayl

Scayl manufacturers a range of packing and sealing machines aimed at businesses in the food sector who want to speed up their production capabilities. Their award-winning machines are kicking up a storm in what is a very stale and grey industry. They have partnered with industry giants PFM and count Mondelez and Taylors of Harrogate among their customers. 57% of orders are shipped outside of the UK. Continuing the trend of growth, Scayl now have automated packing solutions for almost every retailer!

Our aim is to provide ergonomic, world-class hot tubs to support the increasing demand for a healthy lifestyle. With a showroom in Richmond North Yorkshire and a team of 'tub-enthisiasts' we've got your hot tub needs covered.
