We're expanding into the US

Earlier in 2022 YOLO began talks with Byer of Maine, a 22 year business that sells garden furniture and hammocks to retailers in the US like Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot and Costco. One of the brands Byer of Maine sold was Amazonas - a hammock brand we already own an interest in

We are pleased to announce that YOLO has acquired Byer of Maine's multi-million turnover hammock business which will give us immediate traction in a very exciting market. As part of the deal we are relocating the business from Maine to Kansas, in a state-of-the-art 330,000 square foot warehouse.

The president of Byer of Maine, Jay Shields said “After 22 years of bringing Amazonas hammocks and chairs to the American market, Byer of Maine is pleased to pass the baton for distribution to YOLO.  All of us at Byer look forward to maintaining our customer relationships while wishing YOLO success as they bring the existing hammock products and an exciting new Amazonas Ultralight line to the U.S. market. Byer of Maine will continue to bring our Pangean furniture, cots, and Byer Birding products to American consumers.”

This is a very exciting chapter for YOLO and Amazonas, and the strategic re-positioning to Kansas gives us immediate access to four major interstates and quick delivery to both the East and West coast. It also opens the door for us to begin launching our other brands into the market.

"Jay and the team at Byer have done an incredible job growing Amazonas over the years and we are now very excited to continue to serve their customers whilst also attracting new retailers through our more central warehouse location" said Scott Woodhead, Founder of YOLO.
